Well. This is the fourth day of waxing on the chuppah cover. Going fairly fast for such a big piece, it is like coloring with a runny crayon. I usually outline with the finest number 1 tjanting tool, which is more controllable and then fill with a larger one. The bigger number three size is a wilder tool and a few stray dots have occurred. I only use the copper-headed tjantings from Dharma Trading. The cheaper brass-headed one is not worth anything. (In my opinion.) Sometime I'd like to work with an electric tjanting. I'm thinking about what dyes I will want to try and wondering if I should re-mordant. Onward.
